In Galway for Touring

Got a chance to experience the culture and beauty of Galway for shopping and walking along Galway Bay.

While there, I stopped by the new Galway Garda Regional and Divisional Headquarters. Beautiful new building. On the weekend, not much activity. Hope to stop by on my next visit to Galway to meet with leadership.

As we strolled, we saw Gardai walking on patrol. I was able to catch up and chat with the the members. Can you tell which of the two is the rookie? One member has 6 months on the job, the other has 10 years as a Garda.

They were pleasant and happy to chat and pose for the picture. They were headed back to the Garda Station, not too far away. A beautiful day, warm and unusually sunny!
