Meeting with UL President

I was granted the courtesy of a meeting with Dr. Desmond "Des" Fitzgerald, President of the University of Limerick.

In the last week of June, President Barry Maloney, of Worcester State University, Dean Linda Larrivee and Carl Herrin visited the campus of UL. They were able to meet with leaders from Academic Departments, Dean of Health Sciences and the Head of Law School, Shane Kilcommins and . At the time of their visit, President Fitzgerald was away on holiday.

I discussed my work with UL Law and the work and research with An Garda Siochana. We also discussed the sustainability of a relationship between University of Limerick and Worcester State University. Given the breadth and depth of educational opportunities, there may be synergies for collaborative faculty research, student and faculty exchange, potentially in Criminal Justice, Health Sciences, Physical Sciences, Computer Science, Business and other disciplines.

We talked of pathways to graduate and post-graduate programs. A video conference will be arranged between President Fitzgerald - UL and President Maloney - WSU in August.
