Stop at Tullamore Garda Station

While in County Offaly, I stopped to visit with staff members of An Garda Siochana at Division HQ.

While there I was introduced to a number of Gardai. Tullamore is in the Ireland Mid-lands. It is approximately 100 km from Dublin. Tullamore is home to the Tullamore Dew Distillery.

I met with Garda Alan Burke, a 13-year member, working on the desk. As Alan approached me, he immediately asked, are you a police officer in America? Come on in!

Garda Burke is a Tutor (Similar to Field Training Officer) for two probationary Gardai.

The members were friendly, knowledgeable and great ambassadors for AGS. Their courtesy and hospitality with me and others who came to the desk looking for assistance was impressive.
